Like all our galleries in Dublin, IMMA is a fantastic place to explore for kids of all ages, to fuel and inspire little imaginations though their interactive exhibitions. Escape the usual where modern art and 17th-century grandeur collide on a sprawling 48-acre canvas. This is no stuffy gallery, it’s a playground for curious minds, whether you’re strolling through thought-provoking exhibitions or roaming the manicured gardens that feel like art meets castle.
It’s wonderfully family-friendly too, with a welcoming IMMA Café for refuelling in between gallery jaunts. From vibrant exhibits to family art trails, workshops, and the ever-popular IMMA Outdoors (where the grounds come alive with performances and creative fun), it’s one of those rare places where little hands and big imaginations feel equally at home. And when you’ve had your fill of art, take a short stroll to explore nearby Kilmainham Gaol for a dose of history, or let the kids run wild spotting deer and climbing trees in the endless greenery of Phoenix Park.
