Female only Referee beginner course

If you’re looking for a way to get involved in sport beyond playing, this fantastic free programme offers women the chance to step into the exciting and rewarding role of refereeing. Whether you’re completely new to football or already involved in other ways, this is a great opportunity to stay active, gain new skills, and be part of the game from a whole new perspective. No experience needed—just a passion for sport and a willingness to learn!

Course Description

The course is made up of three sections:

Part A – This section of the course allows you to explore the Laws of the Game in your own time. Clicking on the link below will bring you to the content for each Law, navigate through the material and complete the assessment questions that follow before moving onto the next Law. The pass mark for each assessment is 50% and you will be required to attempt the questions again if you do not meet that requirement.

Part B – Will consist of 6 hours of practical workshops (delivered in-person). These meetings will focus on the Laws 5, 6, 11 & 12, which are the more complex Laws. The workshops will also be used to explore the practical aspects of refereeing. Please note that you cannot attend the practical without having completed all the assessments from Part A of the course.

Part C – Following Part B, you will complete the final course assessment with your instructor. This is an open book exam.
