Bring Photon to Life: Discover AI & Robotics (ages 10-12)

In this hands-on workshop, children aged 10–12 will explore how artificial intelligence learns from data and uses patterns to make decisions. Through games, discussions, and practical activities, they will investigate real-world technologies such as self-driving cars, virtual assistants, and image-recognition systems. Children will learn how computers follow instructions by creating simple algorithms before putting their ideas into action by programming Photon to move, turn, and complete robot challenges. They will also explore how robots can recognise objects, consider whether machines can truly think, and discuss both the benefits and challenges of AI in everyday life. Interactive quizzes and teamwork activities will keep the session engaging throughout. No previous coding experience is needed; the workshop is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills while introducing children to the core ideas behind modern artificial intelligence and robotics.
