Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Dublin

Dublin is brimming with brilliant, kid-friendly restaurants that cater to tiny taste buds while still keeping parents sane (and well-fed). Eating out with kids in Dublin doesn’t have to mean soggy chips, tantrums, and a desperate race to get the bill before the meltdown begins. Whether you’re after casual pizza nights, brunch with buggy space, or somewhere a little fancy that still welcomes small humans with open arms, this list is your ultimate guide to dining out with kids in Dublin, stress-free and delicious. If you enjoy good food, and eating out with your kids in Dublin, check out a few of my family friendly recommendations.

The cafes and restaurants below are listed in no particular order. We’ve narrowed it down to a few of our favourites but more could have squeezed in! Quality of food is first and foremost the priority, followed by general kid friendliness, highchairs/baby changing facilities, crayons and kids activities, and space for buggies.

Gaillot et Gray

⌂ 59 Clanbrassil St Lwr, Dublin 8

Pizza | Highchairs

Wood fired French style sourdough pizzeria to make your mouth water, colouring pencils with paper and an outdoor terrace – Gaillot et Gray has it all. Serving artisan breads, pizzas, speciality coffee, indigenous herbal teas, wine and beer, it’s our go to weekend pitstop with the family. This sourdough pizzeria doubles as a family-friendly gem, with super tastey lunch options plus delicious pizza. Their chicken sandwich is the best in Dublin! With minimalist interiors and freshly baked sourdough pizzas plus treats, G&G strikes the perfect neighbourhood family gem.

Brother Hubbard North

⌂ 153 Capel St, Dublin 1

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, Brother Hubbard North serves great coffee, the tastiest and most creative Middle Eastern dishes topped with a warm and friendly welcome. The food is absolutely sublime and bursting with flavour. It’s massive so there’s tons of space for buggies. There’s a great kids menu, and the younger ones can also eat eggs and toast from the side menu. If you haven’t been, go. It’s a family friendly weekend must and the food is incredible.

Flower & Bean

⌂ 113 Cork St, Saint Catherine’s, Dublin 8, D08 YY40

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Kids Play Area | Baby Changing Facilities

All families welcome here, kids, dogs, the lot! Flower & Bean is an unassuming hidden gem in the heart of the city and one of the most family friendly cafes in Dublin. Family owned for families, the food is incredible and every dish is lovingly homemade from scratch with such thought and care. They serve breakfast and lunch midweek, soup, sandwiches and wraps, and on weekends, they’ll serve full delicious brunch dishes. Their counter is full of home-baked cakes, sprinkled with edible flowers. Their unique flavours are inspired by changing nature, and are seasonal, local and often foraged! There’s even a cute little play corner with books, toys and a chalk board. Enjoy a hot coffee while the little ones play! There’s high chairs, a changing table and the kids will have an eternal popularity battle between their house unicorn and dinosaur cookies! If you have paws, they also provide free petting and treats! An absolute winner.

Rascals

⌂ Goldenbridge Estate, Tyrconnell Rd, Inchicore, Dublin 8.

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

Seriously good beers, seriously good pizza with a very warm family friendly welcome! It’s a super cool, super kid friendly pizza restaurant with a proper play area for kids complete with toys, games and colouring. The layout is great with long tables, a kids menu, highchairs, plenty of buggy space and baby changing facilities. The staff could not have been more welcoming of our lot when we visited with a gang of families after a trip to Gravity Climbing Centre next door. The pizzas are divine, as are the ales! It’s the ultimate kid friendly restaurant and one of our family favourites.

Neon

⌂ 17 Camden Street, Dublin 2

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

Neon is fast food with flavour at affordable prices, good food with no fuss! Serving fresh, authentic Asian street food, wine and beer, it’s relaxed, very kid friendly and informal. In fact, so much so that families can make their own dessert! The self-serving free ice cream cone policy goes down a treat with the little ones and it’s definitely something my kids request we come here especially for…after the chicken and rice. Although more often than not my youngest will insist on holding her ice-cream while eating her dinner. Whatever works!

Reggie’s Pizzeria

⌂ 223 Rathmines Rd Lower,
Rathmines, Dublin, D06 A582

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

The trendiest pizza place in town! Hidden away in the heart of Rathmines, Reggie’s is the kind of neighbourhood pizza restaurant you’ll find yourself going back to again and again. The sourdough crusts are pure chef’s-kiss perfection and the toppings are clever, creative, and downright delicious. Kids don’t need a special menu here (because, hello, pizza!), and parents can relax in the cosy, casual vibe while enjoying seriously good food without the fuss. The laid-back atmosphere meets artisan charm, with just the right amount of char on those crusts and flavour combos that make your taste buds sing. Their mozzarella sticks are a total family favourite!

Dunne & Crescenzi

⌂ 14-16 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

Serving simple Italian food with the best quality ingredients, authentically Italian hospitality and excellent wines! The food is delicious, there’s lots of buggy space, highchairs and they’ll serve half portions for kids from the main menu. It’s the perfect spot for a decent family lunch or dinner in town and would highly recommend it. It’s one of our family favourites.

The Woollen Mills

⌂ 42 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

Quintessially Irish, local and of its locale. Overlooking the Ha’penny Bridge and the River Liffey, it’s a great place to grab a serious coffee and bun, or a plate of Irish ham and chips (or if you’re kids can handle it!) to sit down for seven courses of anchovies, crab, herrings, pork and beef rib. The food is divine, there’s a kids menu, high chairs and if you’re in this part of town it really is the best place to eat.

BuJo

⌂ 6 Sandymount Green, Dublin 4

Kids Menu | Highchairs | Baby Changing Facilities

BuJo is a neighbourhood burger joint where their grass fed, chargrilled burgers are cooked fresh to order and taste great. As the only burger focussed restaurant in Ireland and the UK to hold a 3 Star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association they take their environmental responsibility for the local community and the planet pretty seriously. From day one BuJo has only used fully certified 100% compostable packaging. It’s more expensive but it doesn’t cost the earth! There’s highchairs and a fab kids menu for under 12’s. Their kids shakes, made from ice-cream and dairy from grass fed cows are delicious. It’s counter-service so no need for reservations, just rock on up and enjoy.
